• Uninstallation: When you decide to remove SideSlide from your system, you can rest assured that it leaves no traces behind. To uninstall it, simply use the Uninstall shortcut located in the Programs Menu. After the uninstallation is complete, you can delete the settings folder, which is automatically opened unless you plan to reinstall SideSlide and wish to retain your settings.


• Microsoft Defender SmartScreen: Note that Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may initially block SideSlide. To proceed with the installation, click on "More info" and then select "Run anyway." Please be aware that I am an independent freeware developer with a small user base and limited resources. Consequently, I cannot afford a Code Signing Certificate, and I may not be able to provide irrefutable proof of my existence to Certificate Authorities.


• Starting the Portable Version with Windows 10/11: If you want to launch the portable version of SideSlide with Windows 10 or 11 automatically, follow these steps: Create a shortcut to SideSlide.exe and place it in the following directory: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp.


• Upgrading from an Earlier Portable Version: To upgrade from a previous version of the portable SideSlide, follow these steps: Open SideSlide's root folder (Press F3 when the workspace is in focus and F3 again when the Settings dialog is displayed), exit the program, and extract all the files from the portable version Zip file into SideSlide's root folder.


• Supported Operating System Versions: SideSlide is compatible with the following Windows operating systems: 11/10/8/7/XP.
